Race Day Schedule

5:30 am - Packet Pick Up and Late Registration begins at college
6:15 am -Transition opens, transition racks will be first come first serve.
6:45 am - Late Registration Closes, NO EXCEPTIONS

6:45am - Packet Pick Up moves to Village Creek State Park
6:00 – 7:30 am - Body Marking and Chip pickup at Village Creek State Park
7:55 am- Pre-race meeting
8:00 am - Race Start
11:45 – Awards

Time Trial Swim Start Sequence is determined based on when you sign up. If you sign up first, you will be the first participant in the water.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Point-to-Point Race

MightyMite Triathlon is a point-to-point race. A point-to-point race consists of two separate transition areas and a finish area.

Transition 1 – Village Creek State Park (swim to bike)
Transition 2 – East Arkansas Community College (bike to run) – You must leave your run gear at T2
Finish – Please see the course maps on the website for a detailed description. Spectators can park at the Harvest Foods on HWY 1 which is about 100 meters from the finish.

Transition 1 Bag

Bags and markers will be available at Chip Pick Up for participants to number a bag for your swim gear and any other possessions you want brought to the T2 area at the college. When you exit the water and put on your bike gear please place all items for transport inside your numbered bag and leave it in your transition spot. We will gather all bags and transport them for you. Placing items in a bag only ads about 1-2 seconds to your transition time. IF YOU DO NOT PUT YOUR ITEMS IN YOUR PRE-NUMBERED BAGS THEY WILL NOT BE PICKED UP.

Recommended Race Morning Progression

(East Arkansas Community College) Pick up packet – 5:30am
(East Arkansas Community College) Set up T2 run gear – 5:45am
(Village Creek State Park) Body marking, chip pick up – 6:30am
(Village Creek State Park) Set up T1 bike gear and T1 bag – 6:45am-7:00am
(Village Creek State Park) Race Start – 8:00am

Bus Schedule

We are working hard to improve the post race flow of traffic. We have 5 buses running this year and will be sticking to the below schedule so everyone knows when buses are running.

9:30 – 2 buses
10:00 – 2 buses
10:30 – 2 buses
11:00 – 2 buses
11:30 – 2 buses
12:00 – 2 buses

Buses will depart from Harvest Foods and travel to East Arkansas Community College. Participants that wish to continue up to Village Creek State Park will be given 5 minutes to gather possessions (don’t forget your T1 bag) and reboard the bus which will continue up to Village Creek State Park (Be prompt b/c buses will not wait for individuals….Buses will leave after 5 minutes at the College).

Each bus carries approximately 40 people so there are 80 slots open at each departure time. *Athletes should have plenty of time to go back to T2, then back to T1, to retrieve all belongings in time to be back to the finish area in time for the awards. It is highly encouraged that you retrieve your belongs before the awards ceremony.*

Village Creek State Park

From I-40 take Exit 242 North (Hwy 284)
North on Hwy 284 to Village Creek State Park (13 miles north of I-40 on Hwy 284)
From park entrance follow triathlon signs to parking area

Finish Line Area / Harvest Foods

From I-40 take Exit 241 A South (Hwy 1)
Follow Hwy 1 for about 2 miles
Harvest Foods will be on your left
Finish Line will be visible from the side parking lot of Harvest Foods
